The income from our purpose-built accommodation is not only used to finance the project, but also directly benefits the local economy and in particular the Kampala Galaxy Soccer Academy (KGSA) soccer club. The stay of our guests benefits nearby restaurants, markets and service providers, thereby promoting a sustainable economic strengthening of the region. In particular, however, this initiative supports the KGSA, which has set itself the task of providing disadvantaged children from the ghettos of Kampala with free, high-quality soccer training. Thanks to the income generated, training materials, kits and transportation costs can be covered and educational opportunities created for the young talents.

Quote Sergio Micklish:

"In the bustling streets of Kampala, where kids chase makeshift footballs through alleyways and dream of something bigger, a small spark ignited in June 2017. A dream to give these kids more than just a game—to give them a chance. That dream became Kampala Galaxy Soccer Academy (KGSA).

It started with a simple idea: every child deserves a place to play, to learn, and to belong. No expensive fees, no barriers—just football, passion, and opportunity. From Kyebando to Kamwokya, from Bukoto to Kawempe, kids who once had nothing but talent and determination found a home at KGSA. Here, they’re not just players. They’re a team, a family, pushing each other to be better, on and off the field.

But dreams like this don’t grow alone. Over 6,000 kilometers away in Zurich, a group of football lovers saw what was happening and knew they had to be part of it. FC Seefeld Zurich, led by Marc Caprez, stepped in—not as sponsors, but as believers. They sent support, equipment, and most importantly, hope. Because football isn’t just a game. It’s a chance. A chance to build something, to change lives, to show these kids that their future is bigger than they ever imagined.

And it’s working. KGSA isn’t just training young footballers—it’s changing the community. The kids who once played barefoot on dusty roads are now stepping onto the field with confidence, chasing something bigger than just a ball. They’re chasing a future.

I also want to use this opportunity to thank everyone involved in this unique Project! It is a real game changer for the Kids and all People working to make it more and more successful. Thank you a lot for believing and investing in us!"

An essential part of the success of the Kampala Galaxy Soccer Academy is the close cooperation with local coaches, who coach the young footballers with great commitment and passion. Sergio Micklish, who runs the club locally, deserves special mention here. Thanks to his tireless work and his close connection to FC Seefeld Zurich, he has succeeded in constantly improving the KGSA's structures and offering the children not only sporting, but also social and educational prospects. This combination of local commitment and international support shows how soccer can positively change an entire community.
